Radwood is Dying – Blame Hagerty for That

As ‘The Caradise’ staff came back from Mexico a few hours too late to enjoy Radwood San Francisco, held on last Saturday, I naturally craved some content. I’m usually at every Radwood held here and have been attending since 2018.

So, I went to Radwood’s twitter account, in search for what would be great pictures, commentary and content…only to find the *last* tweet was in May 9th of this year.  I guess is good that Bradley Bradwell isn’t around twitter (or ‘X’) anymore to see this sad sight.

Instead, I headed to their Instagram, to see some pictures, videos and get a sense of the event, but it only had 7 posts and a measly 15 pictures from the event, and the pictures were so bad you think *I* took them.  No close ups, no interesting cars. The usual suspects and nothing else.

I dunno, I wasn’t there this weekend, but certainly the prior incantation of Radwood, ran by a handful of people had way more social presence and enthusiasm before. The Vibe is off and not in a good way.

Hagerty had some layoffs lately, in December 2022, April and May of this year. And it looks like Radwood is suffering for it. My guess is the big-money events, like the Pebble Beach Concourse will instead be the focus of what little social media energy is left. RIP Radwood, it was good while it lasted.
