This entry is dedicated to one of the best actors to have grace the screens of TV and Movies. The wonderful Michael Gambon. He carried the movie we selected for our Caradise Movie Festival: There are only 3 cars that show up at length on our selected movie, but each one of them is a masterpiece of car casting.
On 2004’s ‘Layer Cake’ a thriller you can enjoy how Michael Gambon as the main antagonist against a Pre-Bond Daniel Craig, makes an elegant and threatening entry until past the middle of the movie, and then closes it masterfully.
The cars in question for this movie are wonderful too!
First, the Audi RS6 Avant looks glorious as the car that carries the team together. Elegant and discreet gray, with 450HP twin turbo at the tap. What’s not to love?
The car gets a glorious entrance video on some curvy hills via a British Private Club Villa. It looks amazing. Is an Audi commercial basically. The car later will also prove it can move fast when needed.
The second one, is the bright yellow Range Rover driven by the Cousin of The Duke, Sidney, who will then have the last word in the movie. Somehow the dumbest guy in the movie gets over nearly everyone. The Yellow Rover gets scoffed as the poor choice of the not-thinking Gangbanger. Still it looks wonderful. Can’t blame them for taking it as a prize.
Last but not least, The 2003 Bentley Brooklands that Eddie Temple is carried around, has a DVD multimedia setup in the back seat. In 2004 that would have been state of the art and I’m sure a $20,000 option in your Bentley order. The perfect car to be driven around in class. Eddie Temple was a masterful antagonist, who takes advantage of the situation and makes other people do his dirty work.
In Memoriam to Sir Michael Gambon: One of the best actors of his generation. This is him carrying a movie in just three long scenes
