Top Gear is Dead: 1977-2023

Top Gear is dead, according to the Daily mail, reporting the BBC has give the program a cancellation notice.

The BBC has recently announced the end of Top Gear after 46 years following an accident involving Andrew Flintoff, the show’s host, that left him with severe facial injuries. The show was initially cancelled in 2001 and then revived with Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond as hosts in 2003 before finally ending for a while in 2015 following a controversy involving Clarkson. There were two more versions of Top Gear, until the latest one comprised of Flintoff, Paddy McGuiness and Chris Harris.  Flintoff was the latest host to be injured in an accident while filming the show. That followed an incident they had in Spain when driving inside a tunnel, also serious.

Hammond had also been on a Coma, back a few years ago, but it seems this latest accident has put the kibosh on Top Gear, after 46 years.

Top Gear is my comfort food, so I definitely gonna miss them. Even the weak seasons of Top Gear have some good moments.
