Cars & Coffee at San Mateo California Brings The True Rare and Expensive Stuff
Cars & Coffee in San Mateo never ever disappoints. I always attend, with the *only* Saab around (that’s a post for another day) but I will always see a car that I’ve never seen before, or seen in real life. This year, the Francophile contingent was out in full force. The number of Citroens presents were twice the Saabs. There was a DS and a 2CV
The Facel Vega Facelia convertible blew my mind away. Never seen one before. Such a lovely little car. With the true Facel Vega lines despite its size. Fully running. Like garaged on a time machine.
Other rarities were a Kaiser Manhattan, Dodge Viper ACR, a Renault Caravelle, all the GTRs you need, Acura NSX.
Other eye popping restorations were of a Dodge Power Wagon, carrying a Moto Guzzi Motorcycle on its bed. And the VW Transporter with a Pastel interior.
